Patient Education

Atlantic Ear, Nose & Throat is committed to providing patient education on a variety of ENT topics. We have presented information sessions to both patients and professionals through senior centers, support groups, neighborhoods, physician forums, and professional communities.  Sample topics include:

Supporting Local Communities

Atlantic Ear, Nose & Throat is committed to supporting our local communities.

  • We partner annually with the Central Florida Zoological Society to support their efforts in protecting endangered species through sponsorship of Zoo Boo Bash, a family friendly fall festival each October.
  • We partner with the Central Florida Association of Physicians of India Origin to participate in their annual health fair.
  • We sponsor local high schools extracurricular activities.
  • We support Boy Scout Merit Badge programs in Medicine and First Aid.

  • Parkinson's AdventHealth: Thank you for supporting the fight against Parkinson’s from AdventHealth.
  • Zoo Boo 2019: Atlantic Ear, Nose & Throat’s annual sponsorship event at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens.
  • Parkinson's Conference Daytona: A huge thank you from Boston Scientific, the Parkinson’s Association of Greater Daytona Beach and all the community attendees for helping make the New Frontiers Symposium successful. Atlantic Ear, Nose & Throat’s presentation on SPEAK OUT!® was big part of this success and really resonated with the audience. We had a total of 95 attendees with 58 evaluations returned. The feedback was excellent with Day 2 rating a 4.96 (out of 5). The feedback on Jamie Smith, MA, CCC-SLP’s sessions included comments like:

  • Multiple Systems Atrophy Conference: Our Speech-Language Pathologist, Jamie Smith, MA, CCC-SLP, at the Multiple Systems Atrophy Conference educating attendees about our SPEAK OUT!® speech therapy program.
  • Celebration of Seniors Health Expo: Our physician assistant, Mrs. Natasha Taylor, performing video otoscopy to exam the ear canal to the tympanic membrane (eardrum) with magnification at the 2019 Mind, Body & Spirit: A Celebration of Seniors health expo in Lake Mary.
  • Parkinson's Brain & Beyond Conference: Our speech-language pathologists, Jamie Smith MA, CCC-SLP & Carinda Stout, MA, CCC-SLP at the Parkinson’s Brain & Beyond Conference on 4/3/2019.
  • Volusia County Employee Health Fair 2018: Dr. Hernandez-Colon, Audiologist, is performing video otoscopy to detect the presence of wax, infection or foreign objects (such as cotton) at the Volusia County annual employee Health, Wellness & Benefits Fair.
