Inspire implants are FDA-approved, surgically placed devices that use targeted nerve stimulation to maintain an open airway during sleep, offering an alternative treatment for patients with obstructive sleep apnea who cannot tolerate CPAP therapy.

What is an Inspire Implant?
Affecting approximately 10% of the middle-aged adult population, sleep apnea is a serious disorder that results in intermittent pauses in breathing while asleep. Treatments for sleep apnea can range from lifestyle and dietary changes to the use of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines and surgical procedures such as nasal surgery to fix a deviated septum.
CPAP use has been one of the only means of improving these patients' sleep experience and health up until recently. The Inspire Implant is an innovative form of treating sleep apnea developed in the past decade. This FDA-approved device makes use of upper airway stimulation therapy to treat patients with obstructive sleep apnea who are unable to tolerate a CPAP machine.
